This course is intended for dentists who want to integrate both the surgical and restorative phase of dental implants in their daily practice. Patient selection, treatment planning, anatomical structures when considering dental implants, surgical placement as well as restorative options with the Camlog implant system are presented and discussed.
"Nothing is more empowering than placing your first implant"
The final step in the process of learning implant therapy is to place an implant in a real patient. At that moment, the entire process is complete, confidence grows and proficiency is established. The best possible scenario is to place that first implant with a seasoned mentor at your elbow. Mentored placement is scheduled after the two day "Introduction to Implant Surgery" course for out-of-town doctors and on other dates scheduled weekends for more local dentists. Dr. Favia provides an already pre-screened patient and you will have his advice and mentoring during the entire planning and placement process. Doctors are relieved of the initial bother of details and may focus entirely on the patient and the therapy being learned during their initial surgical experience. Out of state doctors are allowed to place implants in Illinois under one day educational regulations.
The placing doctor and expect to learn:
- Planning the surgical site of the an implant
- Proper Pre-op and Post-op care of an implant
- Placing of the actual implant from start to finish including proper flapping and suturing techniques
MSIDI is offering this one-day mentorship, which includes 4-8 hours of participation continuing education, patient and the implant for live surgery, for $1700.00
